The LINCS Information FramEwork (LIFE) is being developed as a search knowledge engine for LINCS data.

BioAssay Ontology (BAO)

The BioAssay Ontology (BAO) describes biological screening assays and their results including high-throughput screening (HTS) data for the purpose of categorizing assays and data analysis.

LIFE facilitates searching, exploration, and reporting of LINCS data. LIFE's architecture and complementary advanced technologies to store and search diverse data facilitate flexibility of data types and formats and also scalability.

LINCS Data Coordinating Center (DCC) was set up to facilitate and streamline public access, discoverability and usability of LINCS data and analysis tools produced in the LINCS project for users of varying expertise.

Data Standards

The LINCS Data Working Group (DWG) is developing standards for the metadata describing LINCS reagents, assays and experiments.  Annotations for the perturbagens (small molecules, siRNA, growth factors and other ligands), cells, and some elements of experimental metadata should be common between all LINCS Centers.
